Today's Agenda: Cable TV Is Overpriced And Outdated

               Cable companies, in my opinion, are total bullshit.  I remember when I was a little kid and cable was just a luxory.  It seems now that it's no longer considered a want in American society, it has become a need, and the cable companies are capitlizing on it majorly!!  How many times have you been searching through your cable tv guide's list of 500+ channels, and still manage to find nothing to watch?  It happens to me all the time.  Sure, when you've been sitting at your house for months with nothing to watch but rerun after rerun of two and a half men, family guy, etc., on a digital converter box that we were forced to buy along with new antennas, because apparently the tv stations couldn't stand the fact that poverty stricken families were watching their shows for free, but of course it was all under the sales pitch of "Providing quality digital television."  I had one of these fucking things, and I couldn't even get FOX to come in, and that's the only channel worth watching on regular TV!!!!!
               So after month's of daytime court show's and night time terrible show's on the UPN, or CW, whatever the fuck they call it now, Which by the way, has to be the absolute worst TV network ever.  I swear, the directors of that fucking network must just pick TV show ideas out of a hat while blindfolded, and just go with whatever they happen to pick!!  I mean, come on, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES!!!  PARANORMAL!!!  TYRA BANKS!!!(That includes any show Tyra Banks currently hosts).  The most entertaining show on that network is Judge Judy, but how many times a day can they play that shit!!!...........So yeah, after months of that, cable sounds like a godsend.
             These companies sell their shit so well it's ridiculous.  They're always offering some super cheap, too good to be true promotion deal, that offers you like 2500 channels for $12 a month for 12 months, and you're like "No way," and they're like "Yes..It's way sir."  Haha, funny thing is that is an actual word for word quote between my roomate and a comcast represntative, I know because the convo was on speakerphone, we were cracking up.  So sure the deal was great, but they neglected to tell us that all these extra channels we were paying for, WERE FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT BULLSHIT!!!  I have over 500 channels, and i still only watch comedy central, A&E, AMC(for Breaking Bad only) and FOX.  So when our bill suddenly jumped from 80 dollars a month for cable and internet to 150 dollars a month, it seemed a bit steep for 3 channels.  WHY WOULD THEY RAISE PRICES EVERY YEAR FOR LOYAL CUSTOMERS!!!!!??????
            So if you really think about it, are the constant price hikes really worth all these worthless channels.  Not to mention they charge you $6 to rent a pay per view movie for 48 hours.  With internet service, however, comcast is the best.  You can't beat 150mbs operation speed.  But their TV is shit, not quite as bad as satelite, with their 2 year contract bullshit and credit checks, but still pretty terrible.  Sure OnDemand is cool, until you find something 10x better and 100x cheaper.  I recently purchased the best thing ever, it's called a Media streamer.  It costs as much as one of the antenna digital converter boxes, is only about a 3'' square box, and has hundreds of downloadable entertatinment channels.  Netflix and Hulu are major ones.  Yes, you do have to purchase subscriptions to these services, but the difference in price is substancial.  I pay only $25 a month, for unlimited movies and TV shows that stream through our playstation laptop and media box, plus the brand new DVD releases that arnt available for streaming sent straight to our house, exactly 2 days after you request one, or send one back.  Not to mention the fact that you can stream any downloaded movies or shows your computer(not that I would know anything about that.  That shit's illegal), right to your media device and onto your tv.
            SO I SAY FUCK COMCAST!!!  FUCK DISH NETWORK!!!!  FUCK U-VERSE!!!! AND FUCK SUREWEST'S SHITTY EXCUSE FOR TELEVISION!!!  The future is Media Streaming, If you don't believe me, check out some user reviews online, or just make the right decision and get one.  Redbox and Netflix put rental stores out of business, Media Streaming is going to put Cable companies out of business!!!!!  FUCK EM!!!!! LOL
